Description

Graduated of the École Polytechnique (1997), engineer of bridges, waters and forests and holder of a doctorate in economics, Renaud Crassous began his career as an economics researcher in the field of energy scenarios and climate change policies, during which time he supported the French delegation to the IPCC (International Group of Experts on Climate), then he is appointed to the Economic Council for Sustainable Development (CESD) under the Minister of Ecology and Sustainable Development. He joined the EDF Group in 2009 as an economist engineer in the Strategy and Foresight Department. In 2012 and 2013, he coordinated the debate on the energy transition within the EDF group and was part of the group of experts on the national debate. In 2014, he joined the Hydraulic Engineering Production Division as Director of Dam Operations in the Dordogne Basin. In 2017, he took over the management of the CNEPE, an engineering centre responsible for the conventional and cold source parts of power plants under operation and construction. In 2020, he became SMR project manager for EDF. Renaud Crassous is the author of several publications on energy and climate policies, as well as research and expertise with the World Bank (2002, 2003, 2006), the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development and ADEME (2002-2005, then 2007-2008), from the Interministerial Mission of the Greenhouse Effect (MIES) - ONERC (National Observatory of the Effects of Global Warming) or from the International Energy Agency (2007).
