Jean-Luc Alexandre, École Technique Préparatoire pour l’Armement, Centrale-Supelec'92 engineer and INSEAD, began his career at Spie Batignolles in the engineering and construction of complex railway systems. He became Director of Infrastructure at Alstom Transport in 2007. In 2013, he became CEO of Degrémont (world leader in water treatment - sales €1,200 million - 6,000 people) and was until 2019 Chief Technical Officer of the Suez Group for infrastructure. Professionally, he has developed a capacity to manage large projects, numerous and diverse international teams. A pioneer in the use of digital simulators to accelerate the research and development of new products on the industrial market, he has special skills in the integration of complex systems with extremely tight time constraints. Fifteen years of expatriation brought him a sharp knowledge of the international. This international experience on the ground has made him deeply aware of the social inequalities, the daily plight of developing countries, and the devastating effects of climate change on these populations. He also experienced the energy consumption patterns of many emerging countries, forced to massively use fossil-powered generators despite their large vector of CO2 emissions. His entire professional career is marked by the desire to meet the imperatives of the sustainable development goals.
